I’m exhausted! I recently went to a science graduation party and impressed many people with my kitchen appliances dance routine, including moves such as ‘the hand whisk’, ‘the microwave’ and ‘the stand mixer with dough hook attachment’. After impressing/scaring many people I finally made it home late, but I still had to wake up relatively early the next day to keep up with my studies so I was already sleep deprived by then. Last night I wanted to sleep early but instead I was up until 3am making this fat little thing:
It’s a luma from Super Mario Galaxy in all its overweight glory. To be fair, the original pattern which I got from here called for some more ‘streamlined’ crocheting around the bottom of the body but before I stuffed it I thought it didn’t look fat enough for a luma. So I crocheted it a bit fatter than the original but well… I shouldn’t have done anything to the original pattern I guess! It just didn’t look very fat until I stuffed it. Let that be a lesson to you all: stuffing makes things bigger than they appear (who would’ve thought?!). Also yes the arms are a little screwed up and you can’t see it in this picture, but they’re actually mismatched. Thankfully the poor fat luma found a loving home – today is my boyfriend David’s birthday and he is very happy with it. Phew.
Well anyway, i’m sorry about the lack of tutorials but i’m absolutely exhausted and I need to finish organic chemistry by next week to move onto other sciences. I’ll be taking an itty, bitty break from tutorials but don’t worry, it’ll be so short that you won’t notice it (this may require some effort on your behalf – try not to think about tutorials!). I’m going to go and do what the luma is doing now – mmm sleep.
