Nothing says 'procrastination' like taking pictures while you're studying...

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I last posted! Firstly I wanted to once again thank you all and distribute large, virtual hugs to everyone who supported me through my rejection from Occupational Therapy. The good news is I was given a second round offer into the course, which I promptly took all while jumping and doing my happy dance! Once again thank you so, so much everyone for your support, I wish I could fly to every corner of the world and thank you all face to face and give you all big hugs!

So lately i’ve been studying up to get a headstart on the course and that’s why I haven’t been online much or sculpting much. I’m worried that once I start the course I won’t be able to keep up with my blogging duties so i’m trying to get a lot out of the way now during the holidays to make it easier for me in the long run. I still want to run markets and stuff, but i’m really not sure how feasible it is anymore to do so. It’s a shame because I love running market stalls, but unfortunately I may have to give that up once the course starts. It depends on my timetable of course.

I’ve got lots of miscellaneous news items too before I move onto the actual blog post, so here it is. This Sunday I will be selling at the Suitcase Rummage again, this time outside Brisbane Square and not at KGS, check the link for more details. I am kind of sort of planning to sell at the Valley Laneway Markets, but this was before I got the letter saying I got into OT, so I am not sure anymore, i’ll keep you guys updated on Facebook and Twitter. Also my Etsy has lots of new-ish items listed so do take a look! Right now my favourite item is the heart cream puff.

Phew! That’s done, onto the post

Hey everyone, I have some miscellaneous news for you! Yay! Firstly, I will be selling my items at the Suitcase Rummage on October 3rd. The event is held at King George Square in Brisbane starting from 12 to 5pm, I hope to see you guys there! For the non Brisbane-ites i’ll post pictures of my Suitcase :) .

Secondly I have been confirmed a stall for the Wednesday UQ markets on October 6th. I don’t have much information about that yet so I will let you know more as I get more info. This will likely turn into a weekly market that I run.

Because of these two events I am actually on a small blogging hiatus to make lots of stock. I’ll probably only post once a week or so now. I’ll be on Twitter and Facebook, but full on blogging and commenting might not be so frequent these days i’m sorry. When i’m back i’ll be doing a post on different types of air dry clay, and i’ve also got a little surprise review :) .

With that said, I leave you with my newest item:

Strawberry millefeuille!

Strawberry millefeuille! I have so desperately wanted to make a good millefeuille but I could never get the pastry flaky enough… well finally, I have success! I’m so happy about this, going off to do a happy dance :) .  But lastly, I just wanted to ask… does anyone know how to pronounce ‘millefeuille’? I have no idea but I really need to know :) .

My manly boyfriend working on carpentry!

So… what is my ever so manly boyfriend working on here…?

Mini bakery shelves!

He’s making little bakery shelves for my market stall! They’re not actually done yet because I need little trays and lining for them so that they look even more like bakery shelves, but so far I really like it! We had to keep changing the design halfway so that you could actually see the items in there lol, but in the end thanks to David it turned out well! Everyone thank David!

Anyway i’m actually sick right now, I haven’t been sleeping and instead i’ve just been sculpting all night until about 3am every night! You’d think I have a big, big pile of items now but these things take so long… and now i’m sick :( . I’m so sick that I even forgot to watermark my photos :( . Because of the fact that i’m sick and that i’m also super busy, i’m temporarily not accepting any new tutorial requests until further notice, i’m really sorry! My next tutorial will be that banana slice tutorial (it’s coming, I promise!) and then I am taking a break from tutorials after.

Also, Riechan asked me for a photo of me with the Koji Spring Heart lashes on that I blogged about last time. I accidentally said they were the ‘Natural Cute’ ones, i’m wrong, they’re actually the ‘Natural’ ones. Personally I think there isn’t much difference between the two though, ‘Natural Cute’ is just a little longer in length. Read on for photos:

IT’S DONE!! YES! I’ve finished my Japan guide, please check it out and I hope it helps you guys or at least you guys enjoy reading it :) . Also, someone has requested strawberry and banana slice tutorials, i’ll be doing them when I run out of banana and strawberry slices and I need to make them again. Personally I actually hate making them and i’d avoid it at any cost. They are incredibly tedious and annoying, especially the bananas.

Mini croissant stud earrings! I love these!

I’ve been doing a hell of a lot of sculpting lately because my friends have convinced me to open a market stall. It’s a bit of a far off plan for me right now, but I definitely needed stock above anything else if I was going to do that, so i’ve been sculpting a lot to make up stock for any sort of market stall I might be opening. I’ve got more pictures of what i’ve been up to after the jump:

Strawberry shortcake phone straps

Mmmm going to Japan in two weeks and my google maps are not done. It’s also freaking me out that my friends seem to think I know way more Japanese than I actually do, I know enough to get our train tickets sorted and just general stuff like that (sort of), but no way am I going to be engaging anyone in conversation which is what they seem to think I can do? Sigh it is making me upset. Also poor Phillip had his annual checkup recently and was said to be at the ‘higher end’ of acceptable dog weight (ie, fat) so he’s also all upset because we’re feeding him less. Sigh.

Finally made some new items, but out of the ten or so items I made only two of them turned out good enough to show everyone. Everything else was a disaster. I made waffles, donuts, shortcakes and millefeuille but only the waffles and my one (1) shortcake turned out good enough to show. The sculpting gods do not like me…
