Nothing says 'procrastination' like taking pictures while you're studying...

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I last posted! Firstly I wanted to once again thank you all and distribute large, virtual hugs to everyone who supported me through my rejection from Occupational Therapy. The good news is I was given a second round offer into the course, which I promptly took all while jumping and doing my happy dance! Once again thank you so, so much everyone for your support, I wish I could fly to every corner of the world and thank you all face to face and give you all big hugs!

So lately i’ve been studying up to get a headstart on the course and that’s why I haven’t been online much or sculpting much. I’m worried that once I start the course I won’t be able to keep up with my blogging duties so i’m trying to get a lot out of the way now during the holidays to make it easier for me in the long run. I still want to run markets and stuff, but i’m really not sure how feasible it is anymore to do so. It’s a shame because I love running market stalls, but unfortunately I may have to give that up once the course starts. It depends on my timetable of course.

I’ve got lots of miscellaneous news items too before I move onto the actual blog post, so here it is. This Sunday I will be selling at the Suitcase Rummage again, this time outside Brisbane Square and not at KGS, check the link for more details. I am kind of sort of planning to sell at the Valley Laneway Markets, but this was before I got the letter saying I got into OT, so I am not sure anymore, i’ll keep you guys updated on Facebook and Twitter. Also my Etsy has lots of new-ish items listed so do take a look! Right now my favourite item is the heart cream puff.

Sunshine Award and a Q&A

I’ve been tagged by Riechan to do a little Q&A diddlydoo and a Sunshine Award (thanks Riechan!). This is great because i’ve still been playing Final Fantasy all day and leaving very little time for anything else so i’ve had a bit of a headache with what to update my blog with. I didn’t think any of you would appreciate blow by blow accounts of what has happened in Final Fantasy .  I’m actually planning on making a big master tutorial on sweets deco, but i’m having a bit of trouble thinking of how to organise it, so until I get it right look out for it . Anyway, onto the Q&A!

Share 7 interesting facts about yourself

1. I moved a lot when I was young so I ended up going to six primary (elementary) schools. I moved to Brisbane when I was 4 years old and I went to a primary school in a large Asian community. Unfortunately I didn’t learn any English at all and just spoke Chinese, so I was taken to another primary school. Then we moved back to Taipei where I went to a primary school there. Then I came back to Brisbane, but moved to LA for a year where I went to two primary schools in that year. Then I moved back to Brisbane and have stayed here ever since .
2. I’m a bit of a mish-mash of many things! I love fashion, nail art and obviously sweets deco, but my demeanor and other hobbies are completely boyish. Unfortunately all my friends are male or extremely, completely tomboyish with no interest whatsoever in clothes, nail art or sweets deco so I feel kind of stupid sometimes for my interests! I don’t have anyone in real life to share it with other than my boyfriend. Not that he’s interested, but at least he pretends.
3. My boyfriend and I met on a train in grade 12 high school and we had our fourth year anniversary not that long ago.
4. I LOVE TENNIS. I love playing it, watching it and talking about it. I am, unfortunately, extremely angry and harsh on myself on court though. I have not smashed a racquet yet (and I hope I never do, because they’re $300!) but I am angry in every other way imaginable. Part of my anger comes from the fact that i’m 160cm tall and about 45kg so not many people believe that I can hit a ball over the net and I am often teased about it by my relatives and some friends. Just for the record, pace and power from shots don’t just come from arm strength alone but also comes from technique of body rotation and good position and timing, so even though I am not like a man, I can still hit a ball over the net!

6. I secretly really, really want a nose job. I really hate my nose lol… I feel like it’s very flat and wide at the bottom, like it was a normal nose that one day melted across my face!
7. My favourite tennis player is Roger Federer and I cried when he lost the Australian Open to Rafael Nadal last year. I cried hard… and I was so depressed the next day lol! Well Federer is now widely seen to be the best tennis player ever, so I am happy and I don’t cry about it anymore lol!

Questions and Answers

1. A vampire or a wizard (and why)? A wizard would certainly be more useful. If you were a vampire you’d be carted off to jail in no time just because you were trying to eat your daily blood meal. Not very cool at all!
2. If you could change one (a bajillion) thing(s) about you, what would it be? Way too many things. I want to play tennis like Justine Henin, I want to be freakishly academically smart like all my friends, I want to look gorgeous like Jun Hasegawa, I want to be fluent in Japanese, German and Korean one day. I just want to be perfect.
3. Would you rather live like a rock star or president (fun or power)? I can’t choose at all! I think i’d rather be a rock star only so that I don’t have a whole nation’s responsibility on my hands but not because I actually want to be a rock star. Also, I feel the need to point out that in a democratic society the power lies with the people (theoretically) and not the president, so I don’t get anything out of it at all if I were a president!
4. What’s your favourite cartoon character? Mmmmmmmmmm… right now i’m watching Full Metal Panic again and Sagara Sousuke is the most hilarious guy ever.
5. What is your (most) guilty pleasure? Owning this blog, liking sweets deco, nail art and Japanese gyaru fashions! Only because my friends really aren’t that sort of person, so it’s super weird that I do. It’s not a big secret anymore and they’ve been nice about it, but I still feel a bit weird sometimes.
6. If you were a song, what would it be? Shiina Ringo’s “Memai”… I suppose.
7. What is your biggest dream? To be perfect… which will never come true.
8. Do you prefer to be the one to ask questions or the one who answers them? Both I suppose, but I get annoyed if I get lots of stupid questions… really annoyed!
9. What is your biggest turn on and turn off? Turn on: my boyfriend hehe , Turn off: people who are not my boyfriend . Nah arrogance, I can’t stand it.
