Right now i’m working on roll cakes, some fruits charlottes and playing the new Professor Layton game that came out. It’s been busy! I love how these roll cakes turned out, i’ve got mocha, strawberry and matcha ones, and I think my favourite are the matcha ones
. Actually I think they look funny, they look kind of like little cakes with a cream hair combover with a little strawberry or sakura hairclip! Because of that i’ve decided that i’m going to make some coffee bean hairclips, I think it would be pretty cute!
The only headache I have is what to put these things on, do you guys think it’s a better idea to make one of each type of jewellery with these, or to just put them on one thing? It’s such a headache!
These fruit Charlottes just need to be browned and dabbed with icing sugar on top. These take a very long time!
Anyway on a slightly random note, i’ve got an issue with commenting on Blogger blogs. Since I have a WordPress blog, if I comment with OpenID then my name just comes up as ‘hikaria.com’ and I don’t get that cute avatar thing showing up either. Choosing the ‘WordPress’ option does the same thing, and those are the only two options I have! Grr. For now i’m going to comment with my Blogger google profile, but unfortunately the link doesn’t automatically go to my website, does anyone have any solutions for me?
Also I promised Beccy a while ago that i’d show some of my toy cam photos, so i’ve got them after the jump. Sorry Beccy for forgetting! If you’re not interested in toy cam photography, you can at least see one of my favourite plush toys
.
I got my Golden Half cam at Village Vanguard and it is seriously my favourite toy cam now. The Golden Half is a half format camera that takes 35mm film, and shoots two pictures for every normal one photo. So, normally you may only be able to take 24 or 36 photos, with a Golden Half you get 48 or 72 smaller photos. It’s very economically friendly and the photos are beautiful, and it’s very easy to use. This camera makes using the Holga look like rocket science.
I’ve got a heap of Japan photos taken with the Golden Half after the jump. Next up i’ll show you my photos taken with other cameras
.
I’m so sorry everyone, recently I haven’t been doing any sort of internet work really. I haven’t been really commenting on your blogs or sculpting or anything. It’s a bit of a busy time for me, and i’ll be going to Japan on Sunday (thank you very much for all the well wishes by the way, i’m sure i’ll have a lovely time!) and so it’s really just been lots of planning going on.
My boyfriend gave me a Holga for my 21st and it’s been a blast! The Holga is an old timey film loaded plastic toy camera that takes lo-fi photos. There’s something so fun about loading and unloading film that we don’t get to do with digital cameras these days, and not the mention not being able to see how your images will turn out until you pick it up from the photo shop.
Anyway i’ve got more pictures to show you guys: Read the rest of this entry »
